There are several strands running through the sculpture work and although there are obvious links to my paintings and drawings, they stand alone.

I like the freedom to work with different media so I’m not a ‘ceramicist’ or ‘textile artist’. My instinct is always to find the medium most suited to each idea. This always presents challenges for me and one that I love as it pushes me to explore new ways of working.

My ceramic sculpture is small scale and this is important to create a feeling of intimacy. I’m currently developing a series which will be raku fired as well as experimenting with other types of glazes.
